Get To
Know Me.

A multi-disciplined creative, who’s style consists of everything bright, bold, and vibrant. Extremely driven, self-motivated and ambitious individual. I wear my heart on my sleeve, and I am unapologetically Northern, especially with my sense of humour. As a result, I tend to be quite out-spoken, honest, unfiltered and I am true to myself. I am incredibly artistic and expressive, and I enjoy a hands-on approach to briefs, although I have been very successful digitally. I am confident in myself and who I am. I love meeting new people, socialising, networking and connecting, in particular with other creative minds.

A multi-disciplined creative.

good to know.

My degree in Fashion Communication and Promotion has taught me how to research in the most effective way, following the stages of the “FCP triangle” which consists of context, ideas, concepts and outcomes. As well as how to critically analyse brands, and search for timeliness in and out of sector.

Additionally, I focussed on the visual communication of brands, through which innovative messages and narratives for products and services are built, for the global fashion and lifestyle industries.

Work Experience.

STUDIO SEVENTEEN – Digital design development agency in Nottingham, here I worked with the design team, focussing on branding myself.

BDA LDN – Agency in London specialising in trend forecasting and brand strategy. I had the opportunity to work alongside their creative consultants, and create blog posts for their website.

DEBENHAMS – I was based in the accessories department in London, working closely with the buying team towards sign-off reviews.

Ripon Grammar School.

10 GCSE’s A*-B.

My Skills.

01.

Bringing creative concepts to life

Making a concept come to life is by far the most rewarding and exciting part for me. I take great pleasure in pushing a brief to its limits, taking risks and coming up with creative, innovative ideas. I have found that I can come up with creative outcomes quickly, and tend to jump to this stage. I like to think of extravagant outcomes that will get people’s attention, and go beyond the expected.

02.

visual story-telling

I have learnt how to develop and create meaningful and forward-thinking forms of visual communication, promotion and advertising. I have a significant understanding of how to visually convey specific emotions, and tone of voice through a variety of creative media. Whether it’s through images, graphics, typography or film.

03.

social media and digital development

I thoroughly enjoy creating synergy between social media platforms, by planning a detailed integrated marketing campaign. One of my favourite steps is initially taking apart a brand and analysing their values, essence and tone of voice. Before thinking about the best route to consumer, that will successfully captivate, and grab their attention.

extra
stuff.

I was born in Buckinghamshire, but moved to North Yorkshire when I was three. So I am definitely more of a Northerner.

I’ve always loved my sport, from swim squads, to Netball and Hockey to Football. More recently I go to the gym and attend classes such as yoga and pilates, I really enjoy the mental as well as physical benefits it provides.

On the other hand, art and painting is a huge part of my identity, and I dream of being a successful freelance artist one day.

Finally, to give you a further insight into who I am, after taking a “16 personalities” test I discovered that I am an “Executive ESTJ-T”. This is described as “someone with the Extraverted, Observant, Thinking, and Judging personality traits. They possess great fortitude, emphatically following their own sensible judgment. They often serve as a stabilizing force among others, able to offer solid direction amid adversity.”

Charity Shopping.

I have always enjoyed the thrill of charity shopping and getting a good bargain, as well as fuelling my obsession for collecting handbags. The majority of my wardrobe is second-hand, which I love, as I am really passionate about shopping sustainably and avoiding fast-fashion. My best ever charity shop buy was a genuine Burberry trench coat for £15, as well as a Vivienne Westwood necklace, and earrings from a local car boot sale.

Festivals.

I have a huge passion for festivals, and aspire to be part of the creative process behind these incredible events.  I have been to both Leeds and Sziget Festival in Budapest twice, and I plan to go to Cirque Du Soul’s first ever Yacht festival in Croatia, September 2021. I hope to eventually go to Glastonbury, as well as at least one festival every year, for the rest of my life.

Socialising.

I have a great balance between work and my social life. I enjoy searching for the latest events to go to, relentlessly planning outfits, and spending at least 3 hours before getting ready. I have also always had quite large friendship groups, as I lived in a house of 12 girls during University.

photography.

My favourite project at University was our individual photography project with ASOS where I shot, styled, and directed a photoshoot on my family farm in North Yorkshire. I particularly enjoyed sourcing props from the old barns, as well as putting together an outfit for the model, that would compliment the countryside backdrop.
